Default How cold is too cold

Move topic if nessisary:

I'm wondering how cold of enviornment is to cold to store my
bottled mead and beer as well as mead in 5 and 3.5 gal glass carboys.
I have a garage that they are currently in. I also have a crawlspace that holds the furnace and water heater to the house. Not sure how warm it stays in the winter. I'm in Centeral Montana, and it gets bitchin cold here. This morning it was 1 degree! Whee!

Happy Halloweeny!
Gonzo

If it freezes it's too cold. Too hot is if the corks in the bottles start pushing out from heat expansion.

cheers,

Oskaar

The temperature is not as important as making sure the temperature doesn't fluctuate too much.

Of course you don't want the mead freezing and cracking the bottles
