Default Go-Ferm & Wyeast smack pack???

I'm planning on finally starting a New England cider tomorrow. I have a smack pack of Wyeast's cider yeast. I was looking over some nutrient addition schedules and I noticed the Go-Ferm is used during rehydration. But if I'm using a smack pack (and therefore no rehydration) do I still need to use Go-Ferm? Or would I just smack, wait and pitch (along with some Fermaid-K)?

You shouldn't need GoFerm, though you can use it to build up a starter if you like.

I was finally able to break the nutrient packet when I smacked this yeast so the yeasties were good and happy when I pitched them.
(note: rememeber that the yeast liquid has its own volume, which needs to fit in the dang carboy...so try not to top it off BEFORE pitching)
I added a gram of Fermaid-K after the lag phase and this morning I'm getting about 46 bubbles per minute in the airlock.
