So my mead has been going well until I noticed some build up around the top line of my mead and around the top of the carboy. I've attached a link to pictures if you guys could take a look that would be awesome. Thanks for any help in advance.

It sure looks suspicious. How does the mead smell and taste?

Also, can you please give us the detail of this mead (recipe and times) along with some understanding of why there is so much head space in you carboy. Did you use sulfites? When did these spots appear?

I think I would strongly consider racking it to a clean carboy filled to eliminate head space and sulfiting it (if that hasn't been done).
