2009 Mazer Cup International a Resounding Success!The results for the *new* Mazer Cup International are in!! Look below to see if you won. All the results, prizes, medals, etc were mailed out today from Boulder, and you should be getting them in the next few days to a week (depending on your location). CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!!! If you go to http://www.mazercup.com, you can see pictures of the mazers that have gone out to the winners. They turned out really great! Well, we are all completely exhausted, but happy. The MCI team, consisting of Vicky Rowe, Petar Bakulic, Glenn and Dani Exline, Wayne Boncyk and Sheron Rowland worked long hours all last week to make sure that entries were checked in and organized so that the commercial competition on Friday and the home competition on Saturday went as planned. We had a great bunch of supporting cast for stewarding, running and general help. I couldn't have asked for a better bunch! Thanks to all of you who gave so much to the competition! The judge pool included people from all over, and was composed of BJCP judges, commercial meadmakers and of course, our own Ken Schramm. Ken was awarded a special mazer in thanks for he and the other Mazer Cup founders letting us use the name and revive the oldest mead competition in the U.S. We're already planning for the 2010 Mazer Cup International, so get those medal-winning meads going now!! -- Vicky P.S.
