Kingdom Crusades Brewing Competition and an Inter-Kingdom Brewing
Guild Competition will be held Saturday, October 7th at 1pm. The
actual location of the competition onsite will be in the barn. There
will be signs showing which tables are for which competition. That
information will also be available at Troll.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER BOTH COMPETITIONS, YOU ARE
ASKED TO BRING TWO SEPARATE BOTTLES TO ENTER ONE IN EACH COMPETITION
SO THAT NO ONE IS ACCIDENTLY MISSED IN EITHER JUDGING.
For the Atlantia/East Kingdom Competition the following applies:
Categories - Beer, Mead, Wine, Cordials, Other
Special Category - Novice (for brewers who have not entered a
competition before)
Documentation - not required, but a full ingredients list is REQUIRED.
Although full documentation is not "required," no documentation will
likely hurt your score. (see scoring breakdown below)
Judging - will be done using the current Atlantian Brewing Sheets. The
forms can be viewed at (brewers.atlantia.sca.org/library.html). Click
on "Brewers Competition Form."
Brewers may enter no more then 2 entries per-category
Brewers will select which Kingdom they wish to represent (Atlantia or
East). Points will be given individually. Individual scores from
each side will then be averaged and the Kingdom with the highest
average score will be declared the winner.

The Inter-Kingdom Brewers Guild will also be sponsoring a competition
at the same time. Remember, the IKBG judges a brewer's ability, not a
best brew. Gentles compete for guild ranking; there will not be prizes
for this portion.
There will be three catagories I. Beer, II. Cordials, III. Wines &
Meads. Entry forms and other judging info can be found on the website
(http://www.greydragon.org/ikbg/). There will also be copies of the
entry forms at the event. For this portion of the competitions, the
IKBG likes to have the brewer present for questions/advice.
For the IKBG, direct all questions to Lady Jehannine de Flandres,
jrberkphd@yahoo.com.
