So we got our first snow that is sticking here tonight. Last week it was in the 60's, oh well thats Michigan for ya. Kind of wishing I would have gave the girls one more peek before now.
Anyways I had them all treated and didn't bother doing any feeding. I only had one on the light side, but they also had a smaller population. I think all 3 will make it through the winter. I think next year I will only do one harvest and then let them work towards their winter stores. This is a hobby and I think I would rather have bees in the spring then a bigger harvest. Besides the 2 colonies at my brothers I am having trouble feeding because coons or skunks tear the feeders off the front as soon as night falls.
So how are you guys feeling about winter. Hoping all goes well for your girls!
