Hello,

I see that the Valhalla Mead Competition is coming up in October. I am planning to enter a few of my meads. This will be my first foray into the world of competition. Hopefully, this will be a good learning experience. I do have a couple of questions.

1) I see Wrathwilde has registered Got Mead as a Brewclub. As a registered member of Got Mead (Not yet a patron) can I list my entries with the GotMead International Brewmasters affiliation? I hope so, but wanted to be sure so I don't step on anyone's toes.

2) The competition rules state that entries can be in 6oz, 12oz or 750ml bottles. I have my meads corked in 750's and would prefer not to rebottle. From a competition viewpoint, is there a preferred bottling method?

3) Is anyone else entering?

Thanks,

Oskaar

Feel free to enter as a Gotmead club member.

If they're accepting 750 ml bottles just make sure you follow their instructions on labeling, capping and corking. When in doubt, email the competition director and ask them directly. That's what I would recommend that you do.

Hope that helps,

Oskaar
