The few orange slices that are exposed to air at the surface of my JAO are turning brown on the peels. The one gallon jug is filled to the bottom of the neck, and there's only about a 2" diameter area exposed to air.

Is this discoloration normal? It isn't fuzzy or anything, just brown. The airlock sucked in some water a while ago, but other than that there shouldn't have been any chance for contamination. Oh, and the batch is around 6 weeks old and is clearing nicely.
