Hey, folks! If you happen to live in Colorado (Front Range? Even better!) and you want something really cool to do the weekend after Tax Day (April 17-19), have we got a gig for you!! As you have probably seen elsewhere here on the GotMead site, this year Vicky and Pete are, with Ken Schramm's help, reincarnating the Mazer Cup mead competition. Of course you're all planning on entering stuff in the contest, right??
Well, we'd like to give you the opportunity to do even more -- we're in need of volunteers who can be in Boulder that weekend to help with all facets of the competition -- everything from logistics support to stewarding to judging.
Here's a once-a-year opportunity to chat up the wonderful folks who bring you GotMead in person, as well as a chance to meet many other "greats" of the meadmaking world, including Mr. Schramm himself. Oh, and of course there is no better place to sample a slew of world-class meads! How can you turn that down??
So if you're interested in helping out, send a PM either to me or to Leonora, and provide us with your full name, email address, a phone number where you can regularly be reached, and any time constraints that you might have for that weekend.
And you don't have to be a Colorado resident to help out -- if you know mead and love mead enough to plan a pilgrimage to Boulder for the MCI, we'll be pleased to put you to work! ;D
Oh, and to those of you who have already volunteered and provided your particulars to Vicky, THANKS! We'll see you in April!
