I started making mead July 2009 (batch still aging) and since then I have started 5 other batches, all either still fermenting or aging.
Last night, my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I immediately blurted out, "A 5 gallon pail of honey!" :drunken_smilie:
When I first decided to make mead, it was suppose to just be a distant second from my beer brewing. I didnt think Id get involved as much and I would just make a batch of mead here and there. Guess I'll be stocked with tons of beer AND mead now.....
