Just got back from boardgame night at the pub. Played a new game I thought might be of some interest to booze makers and drinkers. Grand Cru is a German board game (all the good ones are) based on the production and selling of wine. You decide which grapes to grow, which wines to produce, when to sell them, engage in market manipulation for max profit, etc.

It's not yet released in the US, but German copies are available from US distributers. None of the cards or pieces actually have German on them, and the company provides an english copy of the rules on their website.

Yes, I'm pondering how you might adapt the general mechanics for a mead making game..... ;D
