I'm getting ready to start on a few batches of mead, a little ambitious, but I just gotta do it!
I'm going to do 3 recipes from Ken Schramm's book, "The Complete Meadmaker"
1) Cherry melomel, using star thistle and wildflower honey
2) Medium sweet orange blossom mead, yeah orange blossom honey!
3) Sweet show mead...book says high quality varietal honey....from what I have read, star thistle honey seems to sound perfect for this and is available locally here in Michigan.
Is the star thistle one of the better honey's on the market? or does someone have a better suggestion?
