Just a quick thank you to everyone who has helped me. Here are the results of my first meads.

From left to right
my JAO without the spices, Ocean Spray Cranberry Melomel, Strawberry Melomel (real fruit).

They are all delicious as it is now. The cranberry either needs more time or is just harsh. The other two are just wonderful.

Thanks again guys for the help you gave me on these first few batches.

Ignore the harsh one until the others are drunk. She'll develop in as little as a month and progress for as much as 24 (mine have never lasted longer - so they'll probably progress more)
A bit of tough love, and she'll come to the party.
