They are not very specific are they? Some bakers honey is from wax seperators that heat up the honey and darken it. No reason it cant make a good dark mead, you could even cook it and do a Bochet. WVMJ

If you've specifically tasted that honey and like it I would say go for it. If not, and it's the price that's pulling you I would go to Dutch Gold's website. They sell bulk from their site and they have more variety. I myself am using their wildflower honey which I bought in a 60lb bucket and paid the same price (plus shipping) as the one you listed.

And you are happy with it? Is it overly processed? I think I've become spoiled with my local raw stuff. Though I might keep it in mind if the supply gets low.

The meads I've made with it haven't gotten to the point where they are really ready to be imbibed so I can't really say what it's like in the final product. That being said, it is more processed than local raw honey (hasn't crystallized at all in the gallon containers I split it up into) and while it doesn't taste as good as most of the local stuff I've tried, it is still pretty good. The last caveat, as Fatbloke said, I use it for melomels and metheglyns. I don't think I would use it in a traditional.
