I was reading some of Medson's threads and was impressed. Still making tweaks and an occasional taste test to batches almost 5 years after pitch.

That makes me wonder. WHat is the longest period of time you all have nurtured a mead to completion? And, what unexpected surprises did you stumble across in the process?
