Reuters has a story about the possibility of mead made using "all thirteen" of the lacto bacteria 'normally' found in a bee's honey stomach can cure antibiotic-resistant bugs.
Seems to me that in the absence of knowledge we are almost bound by duty to volunteer as guinea pigs to investigate the curative properties of fermented honey beverages of all kinds.
