I'll throw a first post into this mix. The Celtic ring on Vickie's Mead Wench logo? It's not a freehand creation by the artist. It comes directly from the book of Kells, 1st half of the second canon in the Eusebian tables. There are three rings, Vickie's ring is in the center. The rings are supported by four pillars. The center of Vickie's ring is a geometric checkerboard pattern, the flanking rings have triskels in their centers.

A wanton wench encircled by a Celtic pattern created by an unknown Irish monk. What a study in contrasts! :)

;D Isn't it great? My friend Peter created the logo for me a couple years ago.
