I am a squeaky clean brew-hag wanna be. I have been reading this forum for the past week or so and find many abbreviations that I do not understand. I am sure I am not alone :)
As my local book stores did not have any books on mead in stock I have to wait until amazon sends me my book.
In the mean time - would some of you experienced mead makers be so good as to deffine some of the commonly used abbreviations on this site?
SG and OG are two I have seen often. As well as the term Brix.
There are more but they escape my memory just now.
A good list of abbreviations will be helpful for anyone just starting out.
Thanks much!

The one I had problems with was TLA.

It turns out to stand for Three Letter Abbreviation. ;D

g,d, and r (grinning, ducking, and running for cover)

I'd say, keep posting when you have a question on a specific abreviation, or acronym. If you're not sure about OG or SG, you may not have a good understanding about the concepts behind the letters. Post away, ask for more clarification. There are lots of people on this forum who are only too happy to help out.
