  1. Default ph ballanced buffer solution

    so i picked up an electric ph meter from the brew shop, and i'm supposed to calibrate it, but to do that it calls for 2 different "buffer solutions" that have specific ph levels
    where do i get something like that

    Your brewshop should also sell the calibration reagents, either already mixed to the proper strength, or as powders that you can dissolve in a measured amount of distilled water.

    I'm actually surprised they sold you the meter and didn't mention the solutions to you. Kind of useless without those.

    well my local brew shop isn't that sophisticated
    and mostly a brew supply shop

    Generally a complimentary packet of the neutral and acidic buffer are included with the pH meter. Those weren't in there??
