    Default Very Busy Bees.

During my normal morning ritual, I sat in the "reading room" perusing the daily comics and preparing my mindset for the day. I came across "Ripley's Believe It or Not" bestowing this bit of trivia/significia:

Worker bees need to visit two million flowers to make just one pound of honey.

I personally would like to thank the little critters 28 million times for the five-gallon batch of tradition mead that I am currently brewing.

The flower-type is a huge factor in how much honey they will get from it though. Any idea what flower type that's based on, or if it's some kind of average?

Either way, I'd like to thank them too. They're to beekeepers and meadmakers what taxpayers are to governments.
