WOW...you did that all yourself??? Holy cow Batman. Looks great! New roof looks it may be a tin roof? Been thinking about replacing my Florida clay tiles with a tin roof. So I can say "I feel an air of mendacity in the air!"

They use those types of tiles in Southern California & Arizona, I know, I used to live in PS, and my mother in Sun City West outside of Phoenix AZ. They were used as a style not a useful feature for the most part, at least where I have seen them installed.

Boy it's been a while since I've caught up on this thread! That floor looks great, kudapucat! Reminds me a lot of something they do here for high-traffic areas, called Terrazzo, you can choose your aggregate colour and all that, but it's an epoxy base rather than concrete and you don't smooth it to bury the aggregate like when you pour concrete, which I presume makes for easier griding... And wow, you like doubled the size of your house, that's awesome.

Gntlknight, my first comment was going to be, "Get your swords off the sofa, were you raised by barbarians?" but now I see they're properly hung on the wall. Got a chuckle out of your computer screen showing Dragon Age too. One of these days when I have a house I can truly modify without angering the Great Condo Gods, I want to do something like that with the walls...

I do maintenance for a company that owns a bunch of old houses in downtown Ottawa that have been modified into either office space or apartments, and some of the basements are the original brick foundations... soooo nifty. I think I need a man-cave too. Except mine will have a sewing corner where I can actually use the antique machine.

It's still way too moist. A couple of very involved house flips are cramping my style but I may be able to pawn off this ac unit into a more appropriately sized room ( where it will not short cycle and work as intended) and then install something smaller in the tardis. I'll probably go with a window unit if I can find one that's efficient enough.

Or depending on how well the second house sells, I will redesign the whole thing and get a little more "swank in the tank". This place is begging for some stainless steel conicals and some climate controlled stainless aging tanks.

Oh and temps today now that fall has officially started was 92F with about 70% humidity. Now that it's about 12:30 am the temps are down to 84F.

Super.

I still do some voice work but Miami isn't the place of you want to make a living as an announcer.

The TV industry is dead here. I'm finding the whole search for defunct homes and the rebuild process very rewarding. I certainly don't miss the douchebag ocean I had to swim in during my last 5 years of television.

And today I had to move everything into the freezers because the a/c motor burned up!
