I lost interest in making the mead while waiting for the oranges to fall. It's been sitting in my closet for over a year and the air locks are completely dry. I was going to dump it down the sink but I tasted it first, it's really good. Is it safe to drink, it's clear.

mead seems to thrive on neglect! If it tastes good it really should be safe to drink. The pH and alcohol level tend to keep the mead safe from baddies moving in. Enjoy my friend and hopefully it will stimulate you into further interest!
