I'm a mazer, I started making mead april this year and it's become a bigger obsession then Tying up women, not quite as much fun but.

Just bottled a braggot a week ago, pitched a starter of Lalvin EC-1118 day before I bottled, primed with a blend of honey, LME & maple syrup. After a week there's barley a "ppfft" when the cap is removed from the bottle Every mead I've bottle primed has been carbonated within a week.

    What's up with this batch?

Seeing as it's 20 degrees cooler, should I simply wait longer for the carbonation to hapen?

Exactly. I'd say 2 weeks to a month.

    Thank's Byathread,

Every batch I bottle primed over the summer was hard as rock within a week, a week later and this one hardly burps. Will wait.

    Thank's again,

    Anthony
