Here's an easy one for you guys.

Start off with 2 half gallons of palatable vodka (1.75L). Drink or use 1 half gallon - we just want the bottle.

Get yourself some of the tastiest vanilla extract you can get your hands on,
and 3 pounds of coffee - I usually use a blend of light, medium, and dark roasts. Grind french press coarse.

Now, add the coffee to the empty bottle and pour filtered water on top of it until the bottle is topped off. Stick this in the fridge overnight (8 hours is good). strain the coffee, then filter, and return to the bottle. Notice how there is some empty space left over from the coffee? You will now fill this space with 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract and the remainder with sugar. Shake shake shake shake...

So now we have 1 bottle of vodka and 1 bottle of coffee syrup. With their powers combined you will have the best coffee liqueur ever!

In case you can't tell, I've been enjoying it tonight. :)

(hmmm, I bet some oak would go well in this, maybe I should try combining some oak extract and this...)
