Between Jackson and Detroit
We decided to start two 6 gallon batches of sweet mead and let members buy a 1/20 share by paying for their share of the honey, and then submitting a proposed ingredient. We have one with mostly fruit, and one with mostly spices in it. We had two of us sort of decide about how much of each proposed ingredient to add so that we didn't end up completely overpowering both with one ingredient, like clove. We just racked both batches this weekend and they seem to be working out fairly well.

The base recipe for both was
22 lbs of clover honey
8 grams 1122 yeast redhyraded with goferm
after adding everything else bring up to 6 gallons with clean water and mix
with then fed for first four days...

Currently sort of plan to rack as needed and then bottle and distribute earlyish Fall...
