Hey all,

So as cheesy as it is, we're thinking of making a pumpkin stout on halloween weekend. I'm trying to model it after the Dark o the Moon stout from Elysian, but haven't found a good clone. Thankfully, the Elysian guys post their grain bill and hops on their website.

Using this and some random assorted 'knowledge', I've come up with the recipe below....thoughts? As it stands, I'm adding pumpkin to the mash and boil, and then will try to ferment in an actual pumpkin (see previous threads on this subject).

Here's a link to the Elysian site: http://www.elysianbrewing.com/beer/darkomoon.html

Thanks!

Well, I have nothing constructive to add but I sure want to hear how it works out! A really good pumpkin ale is what got me interested in wanting to try beermaking. I added some Saaz hops to a second-run hydromel from last year's pumpkin mead and it smells really good...
