FWIW, Havill's are the only meads from NZ that I've ever seen sold in the US, and they are great folks and do make a pretty respectable product. Sorry to see that they've decided to end a fantastically long run, but at least I'm heartened to see that they hope to see the meadery continue once they sell.

tweak'e, notice that they say they're prepared to consider all offers. Perhaps they would entertain allowing someone else to run the place for a while in exchange for equity in the company - and eventually they can be bought out. You never know what people will consider if you don't ask.... ;)
