I finally got around to visiting Moonlight Meadery this weekend and boy was I impressed. Their selection of meads is outstanding. Our tour was given to us by the owner, Michael Fairbrother, and it was by far the best tour of a facility I've even taken. Very cool stories, unbelievable equipment, extremely delicious meads and great meadery.

He also let us try his new Braggot collab he has going. He let us know about an Indiegogo campaign for this Braggot collab and I figured it should be shared here as well. If you're in the New England area or live in one of the states for delivery (Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Vermont or Virgina) you should check this out...you will not be disappointed.

From what I've read, they are positioning themselves for world wide distribution. I hope success doesn't turn their meads into Coors Light.

It already has. When they were small they made a lot of very good stuff. Now days most people know they are just a shadow of what they once were.

Don’t be disappointed. They still make good meads. It was ‘Desire’, their flagship mead, that got me interested in mead making. I think Mike’s the hardest working man in mead and may be our greatest ambassador. I did the tour myself, with his son as tour guide, and I was amazed at how much time they spent with my wife and I. I will say, that 1/2 way through the tasting, my taste buds were overwhelmed and I could no longer identify what I was drinking :-) You should keep and eye on their Facebook page, as Mike usually teaches an intro and advanced mead making class, once a year.
