1 - lbs Dutch Gold Clover Honey
4 oz - Medium (50-60L)Crystal Malt crushed. Steeped for 30 min. after heating water to 165 F
0.5 oz Cascade Hops (60 min.)
0.5 oz Tettnang Hops (15 min.)
0.5 tsp. Irish Moss (15 min.)
Windsor Ale yeast Pitched at 11:30 EST
First sign of airlock activity 13:35 EST
SG 1.040 @ 68 F
These things I have learned so far.
The instant you turn your head it is going to boil over!
Standing over a boiling pot when the heat index is 99 F is not pleasant.
Hops are messy.
The help is going inside when you light the burner.
It is nice to have unlimited supply of ICE. (furnished by the help) And yes, I thanked him profusely !
It smells good. (if nothing else I have a air freshener)
