One of the local breweries apparently made a HUGE mistake when it comes to ordering hops. They have 44lb boxes that they're attempting to sell off to local homebrewers, as they can't use enough of them. There's a groupbuy on one box of Cascades and the price would be ~$20 per pound. I'm going to get in on this for a pound. What do you think I should do with them? A hopbursted ale? An IIIIIIIPA? Let me have your ideas!

Hopburst sounds fun, though I've never done it. One the one hand it seems like a waste of hops, but it should turn out some tasty beer. You could do the Dogfish "continual hopping" technique and shoot for something crazy like their 120 min IPA. Actually that sounds pretty good, you should do that. If you can find a recipe for 60 or 90 min, just boil it longer (and keep adding hops, hehe) as apparently that is how it is done.

Continual hopped IPA sounds good, hadn't thought of that. *cough* Despite just buying two bottles of 120 Minute, with very high expectations.

Well you know what they say about great minds...

If the 120 min disappoints, you can send me the other one. ;)
