I haven't posted much on here, but check back every once in awhile to see what information and topics I can learn off of. I submitted a few formulas to the TTB 3 months ago and finally got the first one approved. It's just a traditional mead, but there is a sense of accomplishment when getting something approved. The next formulas I have submitted will hopefully go as smooth, but probably won't? Next one is a bochet, and then after that is an "other than wine", so that will be fun.

We will be a winery producing at least 4 meads annually, if not more depending on what I can get approved.

I changed the name of our winery since I started this account, and haven't looked into how to change my username here yet, so look for us under Broad Mountain Vineyard, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Broad-Mountain-Vineyard/225858987471678

Still have a lot to update on our sites. If anyone here produces commercially and has any hints and tips, let me know.

Thanks,
Derrick

Good luck to you! "simple and easy" is the last way I'd describe trying to start a winery/meadery in Ontario... I'm glad you're finding your way through it OK though!

Thanks. I was reading some of your posts and you do have it rough to get one started. I wouldn't say the whole process has been easy here, it's very time consuming, but dealing with the TTB has been very simple so far.
