I am looking for opinions on three wine books i think are pretty good and because of multiple jobs and school do not have the time to read them. i am looking for this book to pair up with our wine making kits at the homebrew shop where i work.
I mainly brew beer, but i also make mead and wine, learning the distilling at work. but i brew way more mead then i do wine (feel safe with that statement on a mead forum) and i really like ken schramms compleat mead maker. this book is way more up to date and full of modern information unlike the other two mead books we sold. for beer i have and example of "how to brew" by john palmer, john's book is up to date and full of useful info, covers the three types of brewing (no-boil, extract, all grain). i also own charle's p joy of homebrewing, but while full of good stuff, i feel that john really made a good book
I am looking at "from vines to wines" by jeff cox, "techniques in home winemaking" by daniel pambianchi, and "home winemaking step by step" by jon iverson. I am also looking for suggestions.
I have "grapes into wine" by philip wagner and "joy of home winemaking" by ?. i have an older copy joy of home winemaking and it may or may not be terry garey, it has an orange cover. but these two books while being full of good info are hard to reference and out of date when it come to products and techniques. i am not looking for books like this.
Please let me know what you think of the three book i mentioned and any other wine book you think gives good correct info, has a wide selection of info, and covers many processes. correct info is very important. wide selection of info, lots of wine book do not describe yeast, grape types, sulfate usage easy to understand, acid usage the same as before, etc. etc.
thank you.
