These types of boxes have been out for a while now, and newer technology and food grade materials, inert gases and such have really gone a long way to make boxed wine both marketable and palatable.
I've tried the Three Theives jug wine and it was great. Very drinkable, and the price is even better at $9 for a 1 liter jug. This isn't pretentious or over the top wine, but it is very very drinkable, actually quaffable wine.
I've spoken with Joel Gott about this stuff and his other jug wines. He's a crack up and has a great outlook on life, wine and winemaking.
You have to go to their website and check it out. It's hilarious. Plus . . . they have some great tee-shirts as well. They used to have a "Got Jugs" tee shirt but I don't see that on the site any longer. But they do have a "Nice Package" and "I love jugs" Tee shirt!

Whoops, almost forgot to mention that there are a number of French (yes I said French!) winemakers that offer some white burgundies in a box. The one that springs to mind is the Brocard Jurassique, a Chablis with plenty of character and a nice crisp finish in a three liter box for $29. It has an inert gas in the bladder that holds the wine which allows the bag to collapse as the wine is decanted into your glass. You get no headspace this way, and the inert gas in the bag keeps oxygen from doing it's dirty work on the wine.
