Newest of the newbees here - please be kind! I put my very first brew of Joe's Ancient Orange Mead on a little over three weeks ago - exactly as per recipe, except using lemons rather than oranges. It bubbled away happily in its cupboard to start with - but the last few days its stopped bubbling at all. Have I killed my first progeny or do I just need to keep the faith? Thank you in advance for any advice - even if its just to put me out of my misery!! :)

Well, if you started it 3 weeks ago, and it stopped "bubbling" a couple of days ago, it's probably done fermenting.

Let it clear and, if it meets your taste approval, then bottle.

Thank you - the recipe said two months so I wasn't expecting things to move so fast - it has been quite warm so maybe that has sped things up??

Actually, I believe the original JAOM recipe specifies to put it in a warm environment (in your kitchen, above the refrigerator),

2 months is a good rule of thumb, to let it finish fermenting and for the yeast to settle out.

Enjoy!
