I want to make a seasonal brew, and maybe I should have thought about this a few months ago, but would a pumpkin lager turn out too much worse than a pumpkin ale? I know the spicyness of a pumpkin brew would lend itself more toward an ale, but maybe one that uses more pumpkin and less spice for a lager?
The thing is, temps are already down into the 20s here and indoor temps are around 55F so for this brew I'm not sure if I should go with a spicy ale fermented at lager temps or just a straight up amber-pumpkin lager with mild spice. Any suggestions?
