Having a go with my first batch. Pitched two days ago in the evening, been aerating twice a day and added the first dose of nutrient (1g fermaid K) last night (a little later than 24 hours after pitch because I had work). Took a gravity reading this morning and I got 1.060 off a starting gravity of 1.078. My math says the 1/3 sugar break is at 1.052, so I'm not sure that I'll have time for the recommended 24/48/72 hour nutrient additions before I hit this point. Figuring I'll be able to dose nutrient like normal tonight and tomorrow morning will probably be the 1/3 break (but I'll take a reading tonight to be sure). Is it okay to add all the leftover nutrient at the 1/3 break or is there another way I should stagger it?

Recipe:
3 kg kirkland honey
Boiled tap water to 3gal
1 packet SafAle US-05
Rehydrated yeast with just water and have been using Fermaid K as described.
 
I would divide all the rest of the food into that last feedings so the rest from here on out are the same.
And honestly, you don't have to worry about getting in exactly on the 1/3rd break here with this mead. Yeast can only assimilate the food until your mead gets to 10% ABV. After that, they won't eat anymore. So you are far from having that much ABV in this particular mead at the break
