Well I just started a batch of Welches Grape wine. This is a very simple recipe
That will make a very good table wine.

3 cans Welches 100% Grape
1 cup Surgar
1 tsp pectic Enzyme
1 tsp Yeast Nutrient
Water to 1 Gallon
Yeast 1118

Actually no, I disagree. You will get fermented grape juice but its hardly worthy of calling it wine......

Grape juice for drinking is not really suitable for wine making but its not bad at all for making pyments....

The OP would likely have been better placed using honey instead of sugar........

It results in a far better end result.....as would selecting a more appropriate yeast.

Agreed to Fatbloke. The Juice from Welches however good is not good for wine making. It turn skunky tasting. There juice is made from seconds of vinyards. Try using d 47 instead of 1118 which will leave you hit at that OG.,

mine came out surrprisingly well but i made a few changes

used clover honey not sugar, added a pound of dark purple grapes, oak cubes and spices. The yeast I used was K1V1116.
