This 37.5 cl bottle was purchased at a Kaas & wijn store in Emmeloord today for 6 euros. The bottle indicates it is 12% ABV. The label says it was made from 2 Mediterranean grape species and enhanced with Dutch Linden honey, organic herbs and spices. Color is very pale transparent yellow and is as thin as "regular" wine. pH 3.5 and SG 1.052 Herbs listed on the back label included cilantro, vanilla, cloves, cinnamon, anise, cocoa, hyssop, thyme, sweet orange and licorice. Nose has a faint smell of honey, but not much of that. No legs at all. Spicey foretaste with cloves predominating, but seems to go rather flat in midtaste. After taste gives a tingle of spiciness and orange with fresh floral sweetness overtones.
Overall, a fairly good effort, but not a prizewinner.
