I found the apple/skull artwork online and filtered out the background using a layer mask in Gimp. The parchment was a free background. Both were imported into logo design studio and finished from there.

No, I found the images on the web and used a filter mask in Gimp for the skull to remove the background. Everything else was open source and imported into logo design studio before adding the typography.

Inkscape? That's the name of the program for VISY printers. Are we talking the same thing? If so: kudos my friend. That program is challenging.
Zapped, was that for a pumpkin mead? Just an awesome design. Reminds me of a production of MacBeth I saw a few years ago, only the 3 witches were topless on stage. Made an interesting scene....
Yep, getting quotes for local honey right now for a 5 gallon run of the pumpkin mead.
Some woman just quoted me 200 bucks for 2 gallons....had to write her back and ask if there were gold flakes hidden inside. Shes 80 bucks higher than anyone else whos responded to me and the days still fairly early.....well at least for me.
It's a BOMM, scaled up to a 3 gallon batch. I added a 6 lb bag of mixed fruit. I had seriously underestimated how long it takes hot honey water to cool down and my bag of yeast was so swollen I was afraid it would explode.
It will be a year old in February.
